Prescott in December

December 1st

Handel’s ‘Messiah’

A holiday tradition here in Prescott is the Yavapai College’s combined choirs putting on Handel’s ‘Messiah.’ In addition to the combined choir, there will be a symphony orchestra and special guest soloists as well. It’s an inspiring way to start the holiday season and tickets only cost $25. Be a part of this Prescott tradition!

December 6th

A Christmas Story

December is the month for live performances of all kinds of course. That continues on the 6th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Prescott Center for the Arts Mainstage when Jean Shepherd’s ‘A Christmas Story’ gets adapted by Philip Grecian. The classic tale of Ralphie, his father’ important and distinguished award, and more get brought to life on the stage. Replace your yearly viewing on the TV with this new experience. Grecian is feeling pretty confident in the production with shows running all month!

December 20th

Cookie House Decorating for Kids

A little bit less of a performance as compared to the rest of the calendar so far, but a holiday tradition none the less! From 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM, and 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM, the Prescott Public Library is hosting a graham cracker house decorating extravaganza!
